What to Expect
We request that patients with appointments arrive 15 minutes before their appointment time, as all patients are screened for Covid-19, and then check in at the front desk for their appointments. Occasionally, a line forms inside or outside as patients are getting screened or waiting to check in at the registration desk, so we ask all patients to arrive at least 15 minutes before their appointment time. When patients arrive, we kindly request that they stay in line in the order of arrival. After checking in at the front desk, we ask patients to be seated and wait to be called by a medical student. During busier days, numbers may be provided and called in order of when patients check in at the front desk. After their name is called, the patient will first be examined by a team of medical students, who will then present the patient’s information to an attending physician. With the involvement of the patients, the medical team will make an action plan that provides care and education. We proudly serve Chicago’s north-side communities and welcome all those who need primary healthcare.
Please note that the clinic does accept walk-in patients. However, when the clinic is fully booked with appointments, it may not be able to serve walk-in patients on the same day. In those instances, the front desk will try to find the first opening and make an appointment for the walk-in patient(s). The clinic will try its best to accommodate walk-in patients, who may be asked to wait in the waiting room if the clinic has a cancellation. In this case, the front desk may assign a time for the walk-in patient on the same day. However, the clinic cannot guarantee that all walk-in patients will be served on the same day. As such, we ask for your understanding and thank you for your patience as we try to accommodate walk-in patients either on the same day or on subsequent days when the clinic is not able to accommodate same-day walk-in service.
