Dr. Vilasini Shetty joins the IAMA Charitable Foundation with decades of experience dedicated to improving patient care, advancing medical knowledge, and strengthening community health. She brings more than 20 years of leadership in the pharmaceutical industry at Pfizer and over a decade of academic experience to her role as an Assistant Professor at the Rush University Medical Center. A seasoned Senior Medical Director specializing in Oncology, she has built a distinguished career at Pfizer and leading academic cancer centers, where she excelled in medical affairs, clinical development, and scientific strategy.

She is highly regarded for her ability to engage and collaborate with key opinion leaders, healthcare providers, payers, and academic partners, ensuring the integration of cutting-edge scientific insights into patient care. Her expertise spans grant writing and review, medical education, clinical trial support, regulatory navigation, and cross-functional leadership. She has played key roles in major oncology product launches, payer strategy development, and scientific content oversight.

Before entering industry, she served as faculty at Rush University Medical Center, mentoring future clinicians and researchers while advancing oncology research. Her academic work includes 45 peer-reviewed publications, 140 abstracts, and contributions to book chapters, with invitations to speak at national and international conferences.

Dr. Shetty holds a Ph.D. in Oncology, advanced certifications in corporate governance, and professional credentials in clinical research. She has been recognized with multiple industry awards for excellence, leadership, and impactful collaboration.

Along with her scientific and clinical expertise, in her role as Executive Director, Dr. Shetty brings a strong commitment to service, strategic vision, mentorship, and compassionate care.
